It is not only the mandatory use of mask when going out to guest areas that makes me feel strange but everything about the new normal. Adapting to change takes time. Just the same, the world will take its time. Continue reading “Love, Hope and The Color-Changing Fish”
We are in the most interesting of times. Not that it’s good but we are in a time of uncertainty. Nobody knows what’s gonna happen next.
At times, I feel like I’m in a movie. Or in a Déjà vu, except that I have seen the real life scenarios in movies I’ve watched before instead of dreams. Continue reading “Life in the Time of Corona Virus”
This was my first New Year in the island.
Since I worked in the Maldives, I always got the chance to go home for the New Year except this time because of the changes on our leave plans.
Our team had a dinner around 8:30pm. A lot left the table about 9:30pm and four of us stayed until midnight, discussing about the the wrongs and rights of our festive season and where and how else can we improve. Continue reading “My First New Year in the Island + Rico Blanco’s Nostalgic Video”
I’ve already posted a 2019 Recap as I thought, the year was over or almost and we’ve got like two weeks to the new year and then something happened.
One of our stalls burned down. Continue reading “Just When I Thought The Year Was Over”
2019 has been good to me. Not perfect but I guess it was better than 2018. I had less drama but I still had a lot of fights. I met a lot of people. I learned a lot. Continue reading “2019 Recap”
After a year of being a Sales Coordinator, I was asked by the previous Corporate Head of the Sales Team if I would like to be promoted as a Sales Executive. I politely declined telling him that I am more interested in a position related to PR, Marketing and E Commerce and he frankly replied to me saying that these positions will only be Head Office based so I won’t get this chance and I could just stay where I am, in the island, since I don’t want to get the promotion that he offered. I woke up from a chaotic dream. My eyes half open, I saw the orange sky from the glass curtain-less window. I closed my eyes and opened them again. Checking if I was still in a dream.
Half awake, I checked the time from my mobile phone. 5:30 am. I closed my eyes, wanting to sleep once again. But I didn’t want to miss this sunrise. For when have I last seen the sunrise here in my hometown? I could not even remember. Continue reading “Fiery Morning Sky”
(anu daw? mali ata?)
Anyway and anyhow, here’s How To Make Yourself Sikat in Just 1 Month. (LOL, today is exactly 1 month after I posted the How 2 Be U poh?) Continue reading “How 2 B U poh? Part 2 (How To Make Yourself Sikat in Just 1 Month)”
When you say Maldives, the very first thing that will come to people’s minds will be paradisaical islands, soft white sands, crystal clear waters, palm trees, luxury resorts and an expensive holiday.
But hey, Maldives has a city too and it’s called Male’.
Today me and my colleagues went to Male’ for a half day trip and I’m sharing our walk around the city in less than three minutes. Enjoy watching!
Continue reading “Noob”
