Positive-ity
Last month, I posted about Babaita#1 and #2, about the false alarm positive cases here on the island, and how my poor nose was dug twice in the same day.

Negative, Ooh, Nega-Negative (ansaya saya)

Quarantine and Chill
Coming back home requires ten-day hotel quarantine + a four-day home quarantine. I knew it was a ‘working quarantine,’ and I had books anyway, but I also subscribed to Netflix (finally) because I know I’d have a lot of free time.

Failed Escape Plan + Vaccine Round 2
Our speedboat left the island at 8:15pm on Tuesday and headed to Male’. We were due to get our 2nd dose of vaccine. If you’re wondering why so late in the evening – because it’s Ramadan. We cannot get the jab if we hadn’t had meals and the vaccine centers start at 9pm.

Static
I lied down on the day bed. Face to the sky, looking at the bits of clouds in between the spaces of the coconut leaves. It was like looking at pieces of the sky cut by sword into thin slices.

Filling In The Blank Pages
The blank pages I once filled with dots are now filled with words. It’s been a month since I started writing on this journal and surprisingly, I have been writing daily except for a few days that I was physically not able to.

Chandelier, Armageddon and Laughing Like It’s My Last
Kung meron mang magandang nangyari sa akin sa pagkakakulong ko dito sa isla ng ilang buwan ay yung bagong pagkakaibigang nabuo namin nung mga iilang taong natitira dito sa isla.

An Eid To Remember
We started our Eid Al Ftr with a sunrise video shoot. We all got up at 5am and completed the session by half past eight. We had to do it that day just because the weather had been very unpredictable lately so the shoot can’t wait.

Dotting the Blank Page
I sat on the floor of our room, my legs crossed on the cold, white tiles. The door wide open, the curtain drawn up. The faint sunlight that passed through the thick clouds filled up the room that never really saw the sunlight for months or years.
