Overthinking Does Nothing

I could not stop thinking about the form I was to submit the other day. Maybe the certificate I attached to it was wrong. Perhaps I’d have to apply for a new certificate that will take about two weeks to receive, so I can attach it to the forms and start the application process.

Until I reached the submission office, I could not stop worrying.

I always overthink, and it does not help. It only stresses me out.

I applaud people who can take things lightly, no matter how serious the issue, and accept their fate. They can leave happy with their success or come back and try again if they fail.

Fate. Things are bound to happen whether we think about it or not.

Acceptance is not the easiest.

It’s not easy to let go. Not easy to not have regrets for not doing so. Not easy to let things pass and try some other time again.

That day, before joining the application cue, I asked one lady if my certificates were passable. She wasn’t sure either. But, she offered me a solution. Feasible. In the end, I realized I didn’t need to submit anything at all. What I wanted has been there all along.

  2. Ako di pa rin sanay maging adult. Dami pa din iniisip. Haha. If I catch myself overthinking, I always remind myself that if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Ganyan na lang.
