Ease My Troubles, That’s What You Do

I wanted to write something about this photo here and thinking about the title for this post came a line from Rod Stewart’s song Have I Told You Lately.

And realizing I haven’t listened to the song for a while, youtube, here I come. DJ, play the music please.

This song has always been on the radio stations playlist during late nights and Sundays, when they play the oldies but goodies. I always thought this is a love song, the same as every other love song that this world has.

But listening to it now while reading the lyrics gave me a bit of goosebumps.

I don’t know if this is just me, but I think that the song is actually not about romantic love but Divine Love. And what gave me the goosebumps is, the lyrics actually is the same as what I have in mind while looking at this picture.

I was actually a bit troubled, as you know, if you have read my previous post and today wasn’t the best of the days too. (I wasn’t grumpy though, it just isn’t the happiest of days). After dinner, I headed back to the office to do some unfinished tasks and while walking, I saw the sky. Still with the remainders of the sunset but already paving its way to darkness, welcoming the moon. Looking at the sky made me a bit cheerful and I just forgot about the exhausting day. And with nothing else to wish for after this beautiful end to my day, I whispered, thank you.
