Let’s Meet at the Horizon

A tremendous excitement begins as the day ends.

The excitement of two powerful forces attracted to each other.

It is the excitement of the day expressed by painting the sky with vibrant colours making the horizon ember and the seafloor glittering – the breath-taking moment of sunset.

And as the day plunges into the arms of the night as if there is an intense attraction, the day disappears into the darkness of the night.

All throughout the night, there is a time for rest, a time for love, a time for sleep and a time for prayer and finally, a time to say goodbye.

The night will be holding on to the day when it is time to leave.

This is the day’s moment of struggle to get out of the arms of the night.Β  It’s the moment of sunrise.

One ray of light at a time. Until eventually the day can extricate itself from the arms of the night.

  1. Reblogged this on Blog of Hammad Rais and commented:
There’s more to day and night than we know.

They shape up our daily lives and the world we live in like nothing else. They take their turn in timely manner to give us the gift of life.

And this weighs much more than we can think of.

Many thanks to Aysa for sharing this lovely take by an old man about how a day turns into night, only to return back.
