Obviously, this post is about saying goodbye to 2016 and saying hello to 2017.
2016 was a roller coaster ride. I had a fair share of extreme ups and downs. A lot happened and there are things that I don’t want to look back to, not now. Not that I regret the wrong decisions I’ve made nor do I wish I could have changed things or erase people from my life, for these are the elements that made my 2016 colorful. I’m just not ready to look back into things or events that might open up some unhealed wounds. I might just keep everything in a drawer and lock it, keep the key with me till the time I am ready to face the ghosts from the past.
It is the fifth day of  2017 and I’d like to greet everyone a Happy New Year, and this post is so, so late. It’s just that I am currently in the Philippines and I just couldn’t write anything. Not that I don’t have time, but our house is just seriously like an extension of a supermarket. It’s just noisy, day and night and I couldn’t concentrate no matter how I try.
We don’t have extended family members here, just a cousin of mine, but the family just extended itself. We have one child in the house and a lot of childish men and women. And honestly, if I’m a ghost, I won’t come anywhere near this house.
I’m not complaining though, this noise is what makes our house a home.
And so, I won’t keep this long. I just want to wish everyone once again a Happy New Year and hope everyone had a great start to the year and let’s all keep writing.
BTW, I saw Kat’s 2017 Blog Goals and her 8th goal is to Have the courage to show my face/post a picture. Make this blog a little less anonymous.
I thought the idea was brilliant. I might post pictures of mine from time to time, though I’m not photogenic, I’m warning you. But I assure you, the pictures would be (somehow) interesting 🙂
