Lately, I have been chasing the sunset. I wanted to take photos of each and every sunset, if possible.

One may ask, why would I have to do it everyday? In this island, there could only be one view of the sunset. So, what could I get by taking the same photo with the same view everyday?

I started this routine of leaving the office around 6:30 to 7pm just a few days ago. On Friday to be exact. Though I missed my routine yesterday due to some activities.

The view may always be the same, as obviously, the sun only sets in the same direction right?  But I can always find another angle when taking the photos. Just like our lives. Every day could just be the same boring day, unless we look at it from another angle.

The color of the sunset could also just be the same most of the time. Orangy-yellowish-gold. But it is not sunny all the time. There could be days without the sun. There could be dark cloudy days but there could be colorful days too with an extra hint of red and purple. Just like our lives. It could be monotonous in color, it could sometimes be dark too. But the universe isn’t as selfish as we might think it is. It gives us a favorable amount of colorful days too.

Lastly, chasing the sunset is like chasing  our dreams. We may not always see the sun or the colors that we want the sky to paint for us. It could be dark and gloomy some days but with perseverance, one day we’ll see our dreams happening right before our eyes, in full beauty, as if we are looking at the sun and all its glory as it gently descends into the horizon, painting our skies with all the colors that we hoped and wished for.
